| Since
1995, Alfa Romeo has been making the GTV and GTV
Spider. The GTV is a four seat coupe, while the
GTV Spider is a 2 seat convertible. Like the 145
and 146, the GTV is based on the Fiat Tipo platform.
2.0 L twin spark engines were available, along with
a 2.0L V6 Turbo that produces 200 hp and a 3.0 V6
with 24 valves that outputs 220 horsepower, making
it the fastest Alfa Romeo when first produced. |

| The
top of the line GTV engine is now the 3.2 L V6 24V.
The GTV was revamped in 1998 with some cosmetic
changes. The new design on the 2003 Alfa Romeo GTV
was much more significant. The new, 147-style grill
is more distinguished, while the top engine I mentioned
above produces an astonishing 240hp. By the way,
the GTV is the successor to the GTV6 coupe, and
the GTV Spider is the replacement for the popular
Alfa Romeo Spider, made famous in the movie The
Graduate. |
