| The
Rambler name actually dates back to 1902, when Thomas
Jeffrey started producing a one cylinder car under
that name. When his company was bought out by Nash,
the name carried over. Nash was eventually bought
out by AMC, which continued to use the Rambler name
for a line of its cars. |

| Over
4,000,000 Ramblers were sold during its run. The
AMC Rambler was made from 1958 to 1969, and include
many different variations and options. The 390 4bbl
engine with a 4 speed transmission was a popular
configuration on the 4 door sedan and 2 door coupes.
The AMC Rambler Wagon was also quite popular. There
are many devoted fans to the Rambler, and several
Rambler car clubs in the United States and even
a few in Europe. The Rambler may not get the respect
it deserves in the collector car market, but it's
still in high demand among fans who appreciate the
variety of options. Because of the huge fanbase,
AMC Rambler parts and information is widely available.
Try looking online (links on the left) for good
deals on Rambler parts and donor cars. |
