| Although
the Aston Martin DB5 was only a minor upgrade of
the DB4, it has become the most recognizable Aston
Martin because it was featured in 4 James Bond films:
Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye, and Tomorrow
Never Dies. |

| The
major change between the DB4 and the DB5 is the
engine. The DB5 got a more powerful 4.0 L straight-6
with 3 SU carburettors producing 282 hp. It also
got an upgraded 5-speed transmission. There was
a rare DB5 Vantage that had 3 Weber carburettors
producing 314 hp. Only 65 were built. 123 DB5 convertibles
were made, along with 12 "shooting brake"
station wagons. The DB5 was only made from 1963
to 1965 |
