| The
DB7 was the most successful Aston Martin ever built,
selling over 7,000 during its run. It's design is
considered one of the most beautiful in automotive
history, and elements of it are still seen in new
Aston Martins produced to this day. The DB7 is actually
an evolution of the Jaguar XJS, although much more
advanced. Both Aston Martin and Jaguar are controlled
by Ford, which backed the NBX project that led to
the DB7. The convertible DB7 is called the Volante,
and a DB7 with a powerful V12 is called the V12
Vantage. An upgraded version of the Vantage is the
V12 GT and V12 GTA. The DB7 Vantage Zagato and DB
AR1 were both limited production DB7s late in its
production run. |
