Aston Martin Virages were produced between 1989
and 2000. The Virage was Aston Martin's replacement
for the V8 series that had been popular in the 1980's.
It was the top-of-the-line Aston Martin model during
its production, even though it's V8 engine was smaller
than the V12 that became available for the Aston
Martin DB7. |

| The
fresh design of the Virage made it very popular.
It was also a high performance vehicle, near supercar
levels. The V8 engine produced 330 hp with heads
designed by Callaway and Weber-Marelli fuel injection.
The Virage Volante convertible was available from
1992 to 1996. The Virage 6.3 conversion added the
largest disc brakes ever in a production vehicle
at the time. The 2000 Aston Martin V8 Virage Vantage
Volante was a limited edition version of the Virage.
Only 9 were ever made. |
