Audi A8 has an aluminum body that takes advantage
of Audi Space Frame technology design. There have
been 2 generations of the A8. The first used Audi's
D2 platform, and the newest generation uses the
D3 platform. The second generation has been made
since 2004, so the majority of Audi A8s on the used
car market are from the first generation. In 2001,
Audi made a special engine option only available
in the Audi A8 L 6.0 W12 edition. That was the first
time the W12 engine was sold to the public. It was
not made available to the American market until
the second generation came around in 2004. Newest
Audi A8 models offer a powerful diesel engine with
a six speed tiptronic transmission. The has 2 turbochargers,
