C3 platform. It was an executive sedan made from
1989 to 1994. The first model had a V8 engine with
a four speed automatic transmission and four wheel

| Beginning
in 1991, a manual transmission option was added
for the V8. The Audi V8 was the flagship car of
the Audi brand, later to be replaced by the A8.
It sold for a base price of $58,700 in the United
States in 1994, which was very expensive for that
time, or even now. Engine options included the 4.2
L and 3.6 L DOHC V8. Compared to their original
price, a used Audi V8 can be found very cheap today.
Parts are also widely available on the internet
(use links on the left side of this page). It's
hard to find another used car for under $15,000
that once sold for over $50,000. |
