| After
the release of the upgraded version of the 3000
in 1961, the original became known as the Mark 1.
The upgraded 3000s were known as the Mark 2 and
Mark 3, or the MK II and MK III for short. Some
of the upgrades include 3 carbs on the MK II and
roadster convertible options. Most were powered
by the C-series inline 6 engine. Some model designations
include BT7 (4 seat original version), BN7 (2 seat
original), BJ7 (wind up windows instead of curtains),
and BJ8 (walnut dashboard, wind up windows, 150
hp engine upgrade) |
