| While
the Continental R and T were based on Rolls-Royce
original designs, the GT is designed and produced
by Bentley, which is now owned by Volkswagen. The
GT has a 6 L W12 engine with twin turbochargers,
producing a total of 552 hp. It does 0 - 60 in 4.7
seconds, and reaches a top speed of 198 mph. It
is the first Bentley to have four wheel drive, and
it also has 16 inch disc brakes, the largest of
any production car ever made. The GT has been very
successful, as there is currently a waiting list
of 18 months for people wishing to buy one. The
Continental R and Continental T are both available
on the used car market, especially for those who
know how to find cars online (cough... ebay... cough).
Used parts are also widely available and much cheaper
than buying from a dealership. |
