| It is
unclear when production of the Bentley Turbo R ended.
Rolls-Royce owned Bentley at the time, and they
may have replaced the Turbo R in 1994 with the Rolls-Royce
Silver Dawn, Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, or perhaps
in 1997 with the Bentley Turbo RT. The engine on
the Turbo R was a 6,750cc V8 with a turbocharger,
of course. There were several transmission options.
The highest speed of any production model Turbo
R was in 1995, when the car reached 249 km/h. This
is very fast for a 4-door luxury sedan with all
the luxury items one would expect, such as leather
seats, wood trim, air conditioning, cassette / radio
/ CD player (in later models), etc. |
