| The
original 6-Series was produced from 1977 to 1989.
In 2004, the 6 Series was relaunched as a beautiful
luxury sports coupe. It features some of the bolder
styling seen in the modern BMW lineup, along with
some excellent performance figures. |

| The
modern 6-Series goes from 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds,
with a top speed of nearly 150 mph. The engine is
a DOHC V8 pumping out 325 hp. It is a rear wheel
drive car that weighs in at just over 3500 lbs.
There are three transmission options on the new
car, including a six speed manual, a six speed steptronic
automatic, and a six speed sequential manual gearbox
that had both a gearshift lever and shift paddles
on the steering wheel. A 2+2 seat convertible model
will be available from this line. For those interested
in the older versions of the 6 series, such as the
633 with the V12 engine, check out the links on
this page, especially the ones for used parts on
the left side of this page. |
