| Starting
with the E23 body in 1977, the 7 series also includes
the following body types: E32 (1987 - 1994), E38
(1995 - 2001), E65 and E66 (2002 - today). The following
model types fall under this BMW line: 725i, 728,
728i/iS, 730, 730i, 732i, 733i, 735i, 745i Turbo,
730i, 730iL, 735i, 735iL, 740i, 740iL, 750i, 750iL,
725tds, 728i, 730i, 730d, 735i, 740i (4.0 and 4.4
L), 740d, 750i, 745i, 745Li, 760i and 760Li (I know
I missed a few in there, but most of those I skipped
were rare models like the 745i South Africa, which
was obviously a special model built just for that
country. The price of a new car from this line is
upwards of $100,000. On used cars look for the ones
that have the V12 engine option available on many
years, as these were rarer than the V8 models and
are likely to be more collectible in the future.
