| The
GSX was only produced as its own model in the Buick
line for one year: 1970. It was a monster of a muscle
car with a 455 cubic inch big block V8 engine producing
a whopping 350 horsepower. |

| A stage
1 engine was also available on the GSX, which Buick
claimed produced 360 horsepower, but the truth is
likely much higher. Only 387 of the GSX were sold
in 1970 - making them incredibly rare to find for
sale. After that year the name remained as an option
on the Gran
Sport. Sales of this option were never very
staggering, and finding a used Gran Sport with the
option package is rare, but quite possible, especially
using internet sites such as eBay. Prices are fairly
high, but I think they could go much higher. Everyone
is in a bit of a Hemi Mopar phase. When the market
moves out of this it could very well move into a
monster muscle car like the GSX. |
