BLS is a Cadillac designed specifically for the
European market. It is a luxury car, but considerably
smaller than most American luxury cars. It is based
on the GM Epsilon platform (GM now uses Greek letters
for its platforms). |

| New
for the 2006 model year, the BLS comes with a wide
range of engine options. There are two 1.9 L diesel
engines, producing 120 and 150 horsepower respectively,
a Ecotec 2.0 L I4 with a high output turbo, which
makes 210 hp, and a 2.8 L HFV6 turbo making 250
hp. The second generation of this car will be sold
worldwide in 2010, according to a statement made
by GM Vice Chairman Robert Lutz. At the current
time it competes with the Saab
9-3 and the Chevrolet
Malibu, both considered entry level luxury cars.
Do not expect to find too many on the used car market,
but eBay will be your best bet. |
