| DTS
stands for Deville Touring Sedan and it is the newest
fullsize sedan offering from Cadillac, making its
debut for the 2006 model year. It was first introduced
as a limousine for George W. Bush's second inauguration. |

| The
DTS comes in two model types: luxury and performance.
The luxury model sells for a base price of $41,990
while the performance model's base retail price
is $50,490. The luxury model uses a 275 hp Northstar
V8, while the performance model gets a robust 291
hp Northstar V8. Both engines are 4.6 L. The cars
have four wheel drive and are built on the K-Body
platform. Its competitors in the market include
the Lincoln Towncar and the Lexus 460LS. Look for
the DTS to start hitting the used car market in
the coming months, as many owners are wealthy enough
to lease a new one each year. I would use eBay to
get the most savings, as prices for a one-year-old
car will typically be $10,000 or more less than
MSRP. |
