base price (MSRP) is just a hair under $10,000,
$9,995 to be exact. Even fully loaded, the car is
only $13,000. At that price range, it not only competes
with other entry level cars from makes like Kia,
but also many used cars that fall in that range.
The engine is a 1.6 L DOHC 4 cylinder producing
105 horsepower. Gas mileage is around 30 mpg, which
is fairly poor for a car of its size. Although the
Aveo is built Daewoo, it has received better reviews
than one would expect. With plenty of decent options,
such as antilock brakes, it can be made into a very
adequate first car, very suitable for college students.
Very few have hit the used car market, but expect
to find them for about $2000 less than retail on
the used car market or on the internet on sites
