| Engines
for these trucks ranged from a straight 6 to a V8.
There was a major redesign in 1967 that made the
trucks look more modern, which was not welcomed
by all potential buyers. Americans started buying
more and more trucks for everyday use, not just
heavy duty work, and the C-10 was a very popular
choice for them because it was smaller than many
other models, cheaper, and easier to drive. The
truck got longer in 1973, and a diesel V8 engine
was added in 1978. Some trim lines during that time
included the Silverado, Cheyenne, Scottsdale, and
Custom Deluxe. They added such things as chrome,
wood interior, and improved interior. If you have
been looking to buy one of these trucks, you might
want to look on eBay. They often have dozens of
listings for C-10's at a time, and loads of parts
for all model years. |
