| The
Cavalier sold very well during its run, most likely
due to its low price and high gas mileage. There
were 3 generations of the car, with the first produced
from 1982 -1987, the second from 1988 until 1994,
and the final from 1995 until 2005. Engines available
throughout its run include an inline 4 OHV, a 2.0
L I4 SOHC Turbo, a 3.1 L MPFI V6, and a Ecotec 2.2
L I4. Trim lines included the Cadet, Base, VL, Type-10,
RS, Z24, LS, and LS Sport. Most were available as
a coupe, sedan, or convertible. Some earlier models
were available as station wagons. Because they sold
so well, there are still many of them around on
the used car market, and for a relatively low price.
Parts are readily available on eBay, as are used
cars, and for a lot cheaper than the ones you'll
find in the classifieds. |
