| The
Celebrity, a car that no celebrity would ever drive,
not even for a part in a movie, was produced by
Chevy from 1982 until 1990, when it was replaced
by the Lumina. |

| This
mid-size car was a top seller for the Chevy line
in the 1980's, despite the fact that it was boxy,
underperforming, and not exactly full of great features.
It did have good workmanship and better reliability
than many of its competitors. In 1986 it was the
best selling car in the United States. It was a
GM A Platform car that had front wheel drive. It
shared this platform with the Pontiac 6000, Oldsmobile
Cutlass Ciera, and Buick
Century. Engine options included from 1980 -
1985 the 2500 2.5 L (151 in³) I4, from 1981-1986
the 2.8 L (173 in³) V6, in 1990 the 2500 2.5
L (151 in³) I4 and also the 1990 3.1 L (182
in³) V6. The final engine in that list was
available for the station wagon - which was the
only version of this model available for 1990. They
can still be found on the used car market, particularly
on eBay, where parts are also widely available.
