Silverado is the newest of Chevy's full-size pickup

| Some
of the engine options that have been available for
this truck are the Vortec 4300 V6, Vortec 4800 V8,
and Vortec 5300 V8. There is also the critically
acclaimed HD variant, which are heavy duty versions
of the Silverado. They are stronger than the base
model, and are named by numbers, increasing with
the larger sizes available. So far there has been
a 1500, 2500, and 3500 version of the HD line. There
is also the Silverado SS high performance version
of the truck. It has a 6.0 L Vortec High Output
V8 making 345 horsepower. It also has a Z60 performance
suspension and 20" wheels. A hybrid version
of the truck was introduced in 2005. It is a $2000
option that gives the truck 1-2 more mpg. It will
be available throughout the United States this year,
hopefully as an option cheaper than $2000. If you
are looking to buy a used Silverado or C/K truck,
I suggest using eBay auctions. They have dozens
available at any given time, and you can also find
parts there to repair or customize your truck. |
