| Since
1999 Chrysler has been producing a luxury car named
the 300M. It is a continuation of the original letter
series that was made from 1955 until 1965 and
included 300A - 300L, with each year advancing one
letter alphabetically for the suffix. |

| The
new 300M is a front wheel drive car with a V6 engine.
It is based on the LH platform. It was Motor Trend
Car of the Year in its rookie year. It now uses
the LX platform. There is now a 300C sedan which
offers a 5.7 L Hemi V8 engine which makes 340 horsepower
when all 8 cylinders are running. When they are
are not needed, the car uses just 4 cylinders and
gets 25 mph on the highway. These new cars based
on the LX platform are rear wheel drive. They are
also considerably less expensive than cars with
similar power figures and drive train, which should
mean good sales for Chrysler. Although you won't
be finding them on the used car market for awhile,
you can still find the 300M. Try using eBay, as
you can usually find them for considerably less
there. You might also be able to find parts, both
original and custom, for a lot less than the auto
stores. You'll start seeing auctions for the 300C
about the same time they start popping up at dealerships
(at least the ones that have not been reserved),
so keep on the lookout. |
