Lanos was made by Korean car maker Daewoo from
1997 until 2002. It was a subcompact car designed
for the entry level buyer. It was produced by
GM and ZAZ for various markets, including Russia,
until 2005. |

| The
Lanos came in 3 body styles: the 3 and 5 door
hatchback, and the 4 door sedan. The D-TEC engines
available included the 1.5 L SOHC and the 1.6
L DOHC, both made by GM. The Lanos was eventually
replaced by the Kalos in the Daewoo lineup. They
were a very cheap car when new, so you should
be able to find a used one for very cheap
now, several years later. If you look on eBay
you can usually find one for a couple thousand
dollars or less, sometimes much less. They also
have parts for fixing or souping up your Daewoo.
I've found this is a much better option than
roaming through used car lots (and used car dealers)
or paying an auto parts store a huge premium
to get that one specific part that nobody carries
in stock. |
