The Avenger that everyone knows (the one that was
actually sold and you see driving in the streets)
was a coupe. It was a mid-size entry level performance
car competing with the likes of the Escort ZX2 and
Subaru SVX. The new model will be a 4-door sedan
that replaces the Stratus. It will be more of an
entry-level luxury car. The original Avenger engine
options were a I4 or a 2.5 liter V6
made by Mitsubishi. These cars were fairly popular
during the 90's, as they replaced the Stealth as
the sports car in Dodge's lineup. You can find them
pretty cheap in the used car ads, or even cheaper
on eBay. Although they have some problems that are
common among cars that are 10-years-old, they are
good drivers and provide quite a bit of bang for
very little buck. |
