of the utility truck market from 1945 until 1968.
It was based on a military truck and known for its
ruggedness. It was among the first four wheel drive

These trucks were big, real big for their time. The
126 inch wheelbase chassis held a 230 cubic inch
flat head six engine. With a GVWR of 8,700 pounds,
this truck would have been exempt from modern emission
standards. Although 1968 was the last year for the
truck in the United States, it was still exported
to other countries until 1978. They had to stop selling
it here because the cab did not meet safety regulations.
It was the same cab design used since the beginning
of the model line. The truck that replaced this one
was the Dodge Ram and Power Ram. The Power Ram remained
in production until 1993. A new 5.7 L Hemi off-road
version of the Ram also uses the Power Ram name.
Power Wagons can still be found on the used car market,
although they're becoming more common in classic
car shows and auctions. You can usually find a few
listed on eBay, and you can also find plenty of old
parts there.
