The Ram had many different engine options. Besides
the base engine, there was a 5.7 L Hemi V8 and a
8.3 L Viper V10.
The BR and BE trucks also had a Cummins ISB diesel
engine option. These engine options obviously impressed
both private and commercial buyers who were looking
for a truck with lots of power. Each engine had its
own strengths, whether it be fuel economy, speed,
or torque for those who really needed to tow something
big. You can still find many of these trucks on the
used market, no matter what engine option you are
looking for. Prices are generally much lower than
new trucks, but still rather high for a vehicle that
might be 10 years old. The best prices can be found
on eBay, where serious car and truck buyers get their
vehicles. Most sellers will even give a VIN to potential
buyers, so they can run a Carfax background check.
