The design was actually based on the Lamborghini
Portofino concept car, which featured the revolutionary
cab forward design. This basically meant windshields
that were low slung, almost facing the sky. It became
one of the most popular design elements of the 1990's.
There were two models of the Vision: the base ESi
and the sporty TSi. Although they sold well, they
could not do as well as the other LH cars, including
the Chrysler Concorde and the Dodge Intrepid. It
was eventually replaced by Chrysler 300M. You can
find plenty of Visions on eBay, and usually for really
cheap. I would not recommend putting a lot of money
into fixing one up or tricking one out, because they
can be found in great condition for such a low price,
often well below $4000. |
