The Enzo is third in a line of modern Ferrari supercars.
It was built on Formula One racing technology, including
the sequential shift transmission, carbon-fiber body
and carbon ceramic brakes. It was produced from 2002
until 2004. It will be replaced by the similar FXX,
a car that is not street legal.

The 12 cylinder engine produces 651 horsepower and
a redline at 8000 rpm. A total of 399 cars were made,
with a list price of $643,330, although several have
been sold in the secondary market for double that
price or more. A special edition was built and sold
at Sotheby's to benefit the 2004 Tsunami survivors.
Only qualified Ferrari owners could purchase one
of these vehicles new.
This car has a top speed of 225 mph and a 0-60 time
of 3.2 seconds. Mileage is 8 mpg city, 12 mpg highway.
If you want to buy one of these cars, good luck.
Even if you have millions of dollars to spend, it's
hard to find an owner willing to sell. They pop up
on eBay about twice a year, so you can always check
there and hope to get lucky. If you're in the market
for an Enzo Ferrari, you already are lucky. |
