The engine on this car is a 3.5L V8 with 5 valves
per cylinder. There were three different models:
the Berlinetta coupe, the targa top GTS, and the
Spider convertible. There was also a special edition
Formula One inspired model call the 355 F1, and it
came with the first paddle gear shift transmission
for just $10,000 more. Performance numbers on the
base models was somewhat modest for exotic cars.
It did 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, and had a max speed of
185 mph. These cars are much more common than most
other Ferraris, with over 11,000 sold in total. That
makes them more common than say, a DeLorean. They
have depreciated in price like normal sports cars,
and are still waiting to become a highly sought
after classic exotic car
like the Ferraris of old. You can buy them for far less than the price
of a new Corvette on eBay. It you want a Ferrari
in decent shape with decent performance for a price
that's somewhat reasonable, this is the car you want. |
