There have been 2 models of this car thus far: the
Berlinetta coupe and the convertible Spider. The
engine is a 4.3L V8 making 483 horsepower. It is
actually the first V8 from Ferrari in 50 years whose
engine is not a Dino descendant.
Dino was a racing program during the 1950's. It also
has much improved handling, a common complaint on
the previous cars in this line. There is an F1 style
of this car that retails for $178,906. I believe
that car comes with the paddle shift transmission.
Although the F430 was first sold in Europe in 2004,
it has only been available in the United States since
2005. As they are new and in high demand, they are
not particularly easy to buy, unless you have connections
at the dealership. You might be able to find one
on eBay, as some owners sell there to get the biggest
market possible. Who knows why they'd want to sell
a car this new? Perhaps they decided to get an Enzo
instead. |
