The Mondial was a small 2+2 coupe made from 1980
until 1993. It had a boxy look and is often treated
poorly by Ferrari aficianados who consider a bastard
child of the famed automaker.

There were 6,800 Mondials made during its long production
runs, making it one of the most affordable Ferraris
available on the used car market. The first model
for this nameplate was the Mondial 8, which was the
first Ferrari that did not have three digits in part
of its name. It did have a mid mounted V8 engine
and double wishbone suspension. The second model
was the Mondial Quattrovalvole, which had an engine
with a 4 valve head. The Cabriolet body style was
introduced in 1983. The 3.2 and Mondial T rounded
out the series. As I said before, these cars all
sell for cheap compared to other cars with the Ferrari
name. You can find plenty of them on eBay where they
tend to sell for 50%-75% of normal used car value.
There are also some parts and other items that collectors
might be interested in.
