The Aspire is the second generation of the Festiva, a subcompact car built by Ford from 1994 until 1997. It was actually made by Kia Motors, which explains some of the quality issues. It was replaced by the Kia Rio.

The Aspire had several things going for it. It was a gas sipper, averaging about 30 miles per gallon, which was very good at the time. It was also very small, which made it easy to park. This made this car much more popular in urban areas, especially poorer inner cities. It was also the first North American car to have standard dual airbags and optional 4-wheel antilock brakes. There was an SE version of this car made from 1994 until 1995. It had a tachometer equipped instrument panel that is very hard to find. If you happen to have one of these, its resale value is about as much as the car in many cases. You can find all sorts of parts for these cars at junkyards or online. Try checking on eBay, because I know lots of people who just part their car out rather then sell it and only get a few hundred bucks for the whole thing.
