The Deluxe was made by Ford from 1937 until 1940.
Actually, the De Luxe was the name of the car model that Ford produced, while "Deluxe" was the trim name put on certain upscale models. This trim line lasted well into the 1950s. |

To make things even more confusing, during its years of production the De Luxe line was officially a line of its own. It was called the De Luxe Ford line, and it was succeeded by the Mercury line. This is essentially a bridge in luxury between Ford and Lincoln, which at the time was the Lincoln-Zephyr. If you made it through that without a brain meltdown, congrats. And you thought the Ford of modern times was screwed up. You can find both De luxe Ford and Deluxe trim models on classic car classifieds, and there is plenty of stuff, such as parts and reference manuals, listed on eBay.
