2005 Ford Excursion
The Excursion is one of those huge trucks that all the automakers were building back when they thought gas prices would stay low forever. Ford made this truck from 2000 until 2005. They never could have foresaw the events that would lead to skyrocketing gas prices.

The engine options for this beast included V8 engines for gasoline or diesel, and a gas-powered V10.

This SUV was exempt from CAFE standards because it was classified as a vehicle for commercial and/or rural use.

The transmission for this SUV was a 4 speed automatic until 2003, when a 5 speed manual option was added. In that same year, a special edition Eddie Bauer Excursion was also sold.

Although not very viable for personal use with the current gas prices, Excursions can be bought on the used car market. They are not abundant, but they are out there. You can find them a little cheaper if you look on eBay.
