By 1976, this truck was the best-selling truck in America. It has held that title ever since. Some newer options included the extended super cab option, first sold in 1974, and the Lariat trim introduced in 1978.

Engine options ranged from a anemic 114 horsepower straight 6 all the way up to a robust 460 cubic inch V8. In between, there were the Windsor V8 engines and a variety of FE V8 engines. There was practically a little something for everyone's taste with this generation of Ford's legendary truck.
