The Fusion was nominated for North American Car of the Year by the NAIAS in 2006, and is the body shape of Ford cars in the NASCAR series. Some of its more positive reviews have come from Car and Driver, which ranks it below a Honda Civic but a few points above a Toyota Camry, a car generally loved by reviewers.
Reviews from Consumer Reports, which tends to dislike American cars (and usually for good reason), have also been very positive.
For this model year, the V6 models will have an all wheel drive option. Sirius Satellite Radio and DVD based navigation systems are also available on SE and SEL models. In 2008, for the 2009 model year, look for a hybrid version of this car. A future 2 door coupe version is also being developed.
You can find these cars on the used market, usually off lease, but they have not been around long enough to be common. You can sometimes find good deals from dealers that sell cars on eBay, as they will dump the previous year's inventory to make room. |
