With a 5.4 L V8 engine, the GT can reach speeds up to 205 mph. At 550 horsepower, it's one of the most powerful American-made cars.
Performance numbers on this supercar are impressive. It does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and 0-100 in 8.8 seconds. It gets 13 miles per gallon in the city and over 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
The total number of these cars produced is now 4,038. With a suggested retail price of $140,000 and above, they were targetted at America's affluent sports car fans. There is also a GTX1, which is an aftermarket conversion authorized by Ford. The total cost on that conversion is $48,000. You can find some of these very rare cars listed on eBay, for a slight discount on original retail price. I think these cars have a very good chance of being highly collective in the future, considering their high retail price.
