2004 Honda S2000
In 1999, Honda celebrated its 50th anniversary with a sporty roadster called the S2000. It's actually the continuation of a long series of lightweight roadsters made by Honda, known to some as the S series. Previous models included the S500, S600, and S800.

One of the most appealing aspects of the S2000 is the front mid engine, rear wheel drive layout. The engine is in the front of the car, but pushed back further than in most front engine vehicles. This moves the center of gravity towards the center of the car, which improves stability during tight cornering. The X-bone monocoque frame and double wishbone suspension also help improve stability. Without a doubt, this is a drivers car. It may look nice in the city, and it's small enough to fit in tight parking spaces, but this car is intended to be sped around winding country roads.

The engine options for this car have been a 2.0L I4 and a 2.2L I4. Although they are not the most powerful of engines, this is also a very lightweight two door roadster. The engines are DOHC VTec. The 6 speed manual transmission is standard, which should indicate to anyone that this car is for people who love to drive.

The standard top on this car is a electrically powered vinyl top. It goes down in 6 seconds, making it the fastest convertible top on the market. Fuel economy is about 20 miles per gallon average, and it does require premium gasoline.

The MSRP on new models is $34,250. Used models can be found on the market, but they are not very common. There are often listings on eBay for considerably cheaper than you'll find them for on dealer lots.
