By keeping the size of the FX small, it's able to perform a lot like a sports car while still performing the essential tasks of an SUV. It does have limited cargo space, due to the sloping design of the roof which keeps the clearance low in the back.

There are two engines available for this vehicle. They are the 280 horsepower V6 and the 320 horsepower V8. The name of the vehicle is actually different depending on the engine used. The smaller one gets the name FX35, while the larger one is called the FX45. I miss the days when cars were named after animals.

2006 saw some major design changes in the FX, although it is not considered a new generation. If you buy a model from after 2005, it will have leather seats, tilt steering and a rear view camera.

These FX35's and FX45's are fairly new to the market, so you won't find too many on the used car market. Look for buyers selling their off-lease stock on ebay. They sometimes dump them on there to get them off the lot quickly, because they get higher margins on the new cars.
