Isuzu I-Series truck
For the 2006 model year, Isuzu launched the I-Series of pickup trucks. The series includes the following: i-280, i-350, i-290, and i-370. They are based on a platform also used by General Motors in the Chevrolet Colorado and LUV, among others.

The I-Series replaces the Hombre, which had not been produced since 2000.

The engines in the I-Series range from a 2.8L Atlas I4 to a 3.7L I5. The size of the engine can be found by taking the model name and dividing it by 100, so the i-350 has a 3.5L engine, for instance.

These trucks have been made as both rear wheel drive and four wheel drive vehicles. Transmission options include the 4 speed automatic and 5 speed manual.

These trucks have not been selling in the United States. That's not to say that they aren't on dealer lots, waiting to be bought, it's just that nobody seems to want them. There are rumors that this series of trucks will be replaced by trucks made in Thailand in the coming years, lowering costs for Isuzu.

These trucks are going to be popping up on the used truck market very soon as dealers dump all stock and sell their off-lease supply. Look for some great deals on eBay, especially compared to new trucks from other companies.
