Jeep Liberty
The Liberty started production in 2002. It's a compact SUV that is more expensive than the Wrangler but cheaper than the Grand Cherokee. It is actually smaller than the Wrangler, but it's far more advanced in almost every technical and safety category, giving it the higher price tag.

The Liberty was the smallest Jeep until the Compass was introduced in 2007 alongside the Patriot.

Jeep has a success on its hands with this compact SUV. Most of its buyers are new to the Jeep brand name, which is good news for a company that has been known for brand loyalty.

The first generation Liberty KJ was sold from 2002 until 2007. It had either an I4 or V6 engine, with the inline 4 cylinder being dropped in 2006. This was one of the only Jeeps to offer independent front suspension.

The 2nd generation Liberty KK will have a boxy appearance resembling the Dodge Nitro. The V6 engine will be the only engine option, and some luxury options will include Sirius Satellite, navigation system, Bluetooth, and MyGig Entertainment System.

These vehicles are sold used in nearly all markets. The best place to find them is at larger dealer lots and on eBay.
