There were two generations of this car. The first generation can be split in to the following models: HF4WD, Integrale 8v, Integrale 16v, Integrale Evoluzione, and Integrale Evoluzione III.
There were some performance versions of this car that were popular with sports car fans. The Delta HF Integrale had four wheel drive and a turbocharged engine. It was a slightly modified version of this car that won the WRC.
Engines on these cars ranged from a 74 horsepower 1.3 GT all the way up to a 212 horsepower Evo 2 released in 1993.
The redesigned second generation Delta in 1993 was much more modern in its style than the previous boxy first generation. The top engines were weaker but the car was more powerful on average, especially among the most popular consumer models.
The Delta is making a comeback as a hybrid crossover SUV in 2008. It will still be made by Lancia and built on a Fiat platform.
You can find these cars on the used market if you look hard enough. They get listed on eBay every one in awhile. I've also seen parts listed on there. |
