These cars were sold as either 2 or 4 door models, and they all featured a V12 engine based on the Ford flathead V8. They were not at all related to the V12 engine used in other Lincolns at this time, and the fact that they were based off a V8 provided many headaches for Lincoln. They did have the benefit of side valves and a compact size, which allowed for a much lower hood.
The first models had a version of the V12 engine that could make 110 horsepower and had a top speed of 90 miles per hour. Later models had better power and performance numbers.
Although these did not sell in very high overall numbers, but they did account for over 80% of sales for the Lincoln brand. 15,000 Lincoln-Zephyrs were sold in its first year.
There were several different body styles on this car, including the 3 window coupe, which first appeared in 1937, the convertible and sedan introduced in 1938, and the club coupe debuted in 1940.
These cars are obviously quite old and quite rare these days. You can find them at vintage and classic car auctions, and also among the various car listings on eBay.
