The GranTurismo features the same 4.2 liter V8 engine found in the Coupe and Spyder. This car will be replacing the Coupe over time. Like those cars, it has a front engine, rear wheel drive layout. The engine on this car has been upgraded to 405 horsepower.

The transmission paired with that engine is a 6 speed automatic. It's a dry sump and its mounted in the front of the car, as opposed to the rear mounted transmission in the Quattroporte V.

The weight distribution in this car is an amazing feat. It's almost even front to rear, which is very hard to engineer for a front engine car.

There have been many rumors that the next engine in this car will be the 4.7 liter V8 that is currently used in the Alfa Romeo 8C Competitizione.

These cars can be bought at exotic car dealerships that sell Maseratis. You can also find some listed on eBay, where many dealers are now selling cars so they don't have to have such a huge lot in prime real estate areas.
