The Mexico featured a 4.7 liter V8 engine making 290 horsepower. It could reach a top speed of over 150 miles per hour. In 1969, the Mexico was made available with a smaller 4.2 liter V8 engine at a lower price. This was unusual for the Maserati brand.
Don't let the sports car performance figures fool you, Maserati fully intended this car to be a sporty luxury car. The interior was all leather, the dashboard was wood, it had electric windows and air conditioning standard, and it could seat 4 adults comfortably.
These cars are very rare. If you intend to buy one, you'll probably have to go to a classic car auction. You might have a chance at finding one on eBay, but even there they are very rare, and eBay usually has EVERYTHING.
