This car was only sold in two body types: a 2 door hardtop coupe and a 2 door convertible. They all had rear wheel drive and a three speed manual transmission. There designed and marketed in the United States, but manufactured in the United Kingdom.
Nearly 100,000 of these cars were sold in the United States. That was a small number compared to most American cars, but it was the among the highest selling imported cars of its time.
In the U.K. and some other markets, these cars were marketed as Austin Metropolitans after 1957. This was done because the Nash name was not known in many foreign markets, while Austin was an established brand.
Aside from all those Weird Al Yankovic music videos (the Nash Metropolitan is his favorite car), these cars are well-liked by many collectors. They are fun to drive and small enough to have in the city where parking spaces are miniature. There are many car clubs dedicated to this car, and lots of people and businesses that will supply parts for Nash's. You can find some great deals by looking on eBay as well.
