The standard engines for the 350Z are all V6 and make somewhere around 300 horsepower, with the newer versions more powerful than the early models.
Transmission options include a 5 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual.
All of these cars are rear wheel drive, with a 2 door body and a 2 seat interior. The number of different versions and special editions of this car, however, is not so simple.
The Type-E is a very rare Japanese racing model that mimics the long nose design of the Super GT Series version of the car. To celebrate success in this series, Nissan made the 350Z S-Tune GT. The R-Tune is the ultimate racing version of the 350Z. It has much more power than the standard car, and the Nismo mods are so extensive that it voids the original Nissan warranty. The GT-S is a concept version of the 350Z with a supercharger. The Nismo 350Z was a consumer model that was a performance version of the regular 350Z. It sold for about $38,000. There are many other racing-only versions of the 350Z that were never offered to the public.
These cars have been very successful on the race track and are also popular in the drifting community. You can still buy them new, but to get some really great deals you should buy a used 350Z off eBay. You can get a lot of parts, including some major engine upgrades, on eBay as well.
