The Stanza went through four generations and was sold under many different names. In its later years, it was the same car as the Nissan Bluebird.
The first Stanzas were sold in the United States as the Datsun 510. 1982 was the first year the car was sold under the Nissan Stanza name. This was also the first year of the second generation, which would last from 1982 to 1986. It was sold as a sedan and a hatchback during this period.
The third generation Stanza lasted only from 1987 to 1989. It was basically the same car as the Nissan Maxima but with a different engine. The United States was one of the only markets that could buy this car, along with Japan.
The fourth generation was sold from 1990 to 1992. The XE, GXE, and SE were the only trims offered.
These cars can still be found on the used car market. If you want to buy a used Nissan Stanza check out the listings on eBay. There are also some parts on there if your Stanza is starting to break down or was in an accident.
