The Alero was sold as a 2 door coupe and 4 door sedan. It was based on the GM N platform.

The Alero was a front wheel drive car with a few engine options. The base engine was an I4, but a V6 was optional. At 3.4 liters, it was a rather large engine for such a small car.

There is a special edtion of the Alero. The Final 500 were given special paint jobs to pay homage to past Oldsmobile logos.

The trim levels on the Alero was GL, GX, and GLS. The GLS was the top performance model, with the V6 engine standard on that model.

These car might get recognized by many as the car that was very common during the highway scene in The Matrix Reloaded. None of the main characters ever drives one of the cars, but I think they do land on one during that epic fight that made an otherwise awful piece of cinematic junk worth watching once.

The Alero is fairly common on the used car market. Although prices might be low, you can probably find them for even lower if you look on eBay. You can also find some good deals on parts on there.
