The Intrigue was built on the GM W platform that was shared with several other cars from Buick and Chevrolet.
The engine options on the Intrigue were the standard V6 and the DOHC V6. The latter was only sold after 1999.
For those who can't figure out the trim levels on the Intrigue, it's rather easy. Going from base to top performance model, the trims were the GX, GL, and GLS.
Some of the features on the top GLS model included a two tone interior, lumbar support for the driver, a sunroof, and RDS radio and CD player.
The only transmission ever sold on these cars from the factory was a four speed automatic. Sorry gearheads.
The Oldsmobile Intrigue was short-lived, but enough of them sold for these cars to have a fairly common presense on the used car market. You can buy used Intrigues just about anywhere. If you don't want to overpay, the best place to buy an Intrigue is on eBay. You can also buy plenty of Oldsmobile Intrigue parts on eBay.
