The 9-7X has been sold with the base model I6 engine or a upgrade to a 5.3 liter Vortec V8. It's paired with a 4 speed automatic transmission. All 9-7X models are four wheel drive.
The names for the 9-7X trims are a little different than you'd see from other brand names. The base model is called the Linear, which comes with the base engine. The upscale trim is the Arc, and it gets the better engine. The top performance model is the 9-7X Aero, and it gets a GM small block LS2 6.0 liter engine. It can go zero to 60 in about 6 seconds, which is an amazing time for an SUV.
The retail price on the Linear is about $38,000, with the Arc selling for about $40,000. The Aero sells for quite a bit more than that.
This car was designed for North America, but it is also sold in parts of Europe and the Middle East.
There aren't many Saab 9-7X's on the used car market, but you can find them if you know where to look. Try looking at the eBay auction listings to see if there's anything in your area (or across the country, if you're looking for a nice road trip). There are some really good deals on that site sometimes.
